Sunflowers

This painting works very well.It has quite a stylized feeling about it which I really like.

Lovely, Debs - in fact it is what I couldn't achieve last week and you have done it with ease! It shows your strong design sense again in the mosaic shapes and the whole composition. As always, your limited palette has been so cleverly chosen and works briliantly. A lady of many talents! Your work is getting so confident now that I think you are on the up and up and the sky's the limit. (By the way, is that a puppy lurking behind the vase LOL!!)

For a split second then I actually found myself looking! :) This is a lovely watercolour with good composition. I really like the way that you've painted the vase as well.

Thankyou Louise, wasn't to sure if I'd done enough on the vase but I didn't want to 'fiddle' with it any more just incase it became a disaster!

This is a lovely one, Debs. I always admire artists who can make sunflowers look exciting, and this painting is just so eyecatching. I love the way you suggested their shapes without defining every petal and the slightly abstract forms in the painting. Everything comes together so well.
