Puppy love

Lovely pose and super portrait. Having met your grand-daughter I can vouch for the fact that it is a very good likeness. Don't know about the puppy though as haven't met her, but she definitely looks like a Cavalier. I like the use of monochrome for your grand-daughter and then the colour picking the puppy out. It has your unique style written all over it and is very successful.

You can feel the bond between them it is a lovely painting.

I like the colours that you've used for this one Debs and the fact that you've left the areas of white paper which add to the brightness of the painting. Also, it's a good pose!
