I wouldn't class this as a cartoon Debs your pen work is incredible and there is such a lot to see in it. I could spend hours just looking at all the different elements, the snakes, the dragons claws and those fancy socks. Brilliant . ( You've probably guessed by now I don't know the painting :) )

Aubrey Beardsley? Don't know this painting but it's certainly his style. A really excellent drawing Debs, certainly not a cartoon!

Wow, Debs! What incredible penwork. It would make a great illustration for a classical poetry book! I agree with Christine - I thought of Aubrey Beardsley when I saw this.
