Thanks for your comments. I have used water-based oils, not so smelly! The spot is in the ocean, but it is not really a very big wave, hope to do some more panoramics like this one.

Excellent and very effective use of a limited palette. The waves are captured beautifully.

This is the sea on the West coast of the Isle of Lewis. It is painted in oil, showing a wave folding into the sea. Spot the seagulls above it!
