Hi Debbie, the affect I get with oil is glazing, you just thin the paint with linseed or saflower oil or which ever is your favourite oil and paint in thin layers, letting it dry in between layers. As you build it up it becomes quite translucent and glowing, not opaque as oil paint normally is. Jo Louca

Well - it never fails to amaze me what subject people choose to paint! This is very well observed and I admire your desire to do something quite different - it makes a really interesting work. The painting also tells a story, which is always good, namely who's teabags were they??

I often go out walking with a rucksack to take photos and sketch. Once I get to the end of the path, I have felt the landscape, I sit down for a tea on my boyfriends Trangia, mini kettle and stand alone cooker. We leave the teabags to rot and it is our little trade mark, two sodden teabags
