Sheep's Sorrel in the Hedgerow
This is Sheep's Sorrel found on the side of the road on the Isle of Lewis. I like to paint the wild flowers in the country, in my imagination, while my boyfriend drives the car. I was inspired by Alison Board's DVD painting cowslip and daisies in a contemporary style. When it was dry, I rubbed off the masking fluid and finished with acrylic paint to scumble the sorrel in burnt sienna, cadmium red and orange.
