Well, it looks lovely David!

Lovely light on the water.

A well executed watercolour David. I particularly like the detail of the foreground with the weeds clinging to to ropes.

Thank you all for those "lovely" comments, much appreciated. Yes, Mark it was the ropes and weed that attracted me to the view and I tried to subdue the tones of the far bank to bring them forward.

Such a skilful watercolour, full of interest and great treatment of light and colour David.

Thank you , Carole, for taking the time to comment so positively.

Blackshore Moorings, Southwold Harbour – a plein air watercolour from my recent trip to Southwold. I remember the late ,great Ken Howard being asked if he could paint every day but only in one place, where would it be? The South bank of the Thames, near his studio, he said. Well the Blackshore is my choice, it's just a shame it's 250 miles from home, and I only get there once a year !
