Such a lot of hard work in this painting David - the boats and the shadows on the quayside are very effective, a very appealing scene

thankyou Pat very kind

I have dozens of sketches made while on holiday some years ago, the place never changes, it's a wonderful atmosphere, although I spent a great deal of time in the 'Blue Peter', whilst roaming around with my sketch book. This is a delightful oil painting David, a wealth of information to cast your eyes around.

thankyou Alan I too love Polperro you are right it never changes their is a painting around every corner yes I enjoyed the Blue Peter my wife and I stayed for a week in the Mariners cottage you can just see it, the dark cottages over the harbour wall on the left.

A beautiful painting David

Such great detail David, I love the shadows down the cliffside a lovely early sun and shadows. The white reflection from the boat is so cleverly done.

You've captured so much detail in this David, yet it isn't cluttered, it still has a feeling of light, space and calmness. The water is brilliant, I can see into it's depths!

I love this place, and your picture. Beautiful detail and gentle sunlit tones.

thankyou Dennis thankyou Carole thankyou Fiona thankyou Shirley for all your kind comments

Agree with all these comments and add that it's very calming and harmonious David.

thankyou Marjorie for your lovely comments
