This is great, I studies Bonnard for my A level, and he did so many paintings of his wife, interiors and windows.

I am not usually drawn to this type of subject matter but this one really appealed to me from the moment it popped up on the gallery. It has a story to tell even without your explanation which helps to make it so appealing. Superb piece of work David

Both your paintings of figures give off a real sense of just captured a quick snapshot of a moment in their lives. Beautifully painted.

This is the third of a series of 5 paintings I completed, following my study of the work of the Dutch artist Johannes Vermeer. Having a son and two daughters, I know only too well their plans and rituals for a typical night out. I tried to convey a modern approach to a view typical Vermeer scene. The painting shows my daughter Debbie standing by the window of her room, waiting for her lift.
