Boxing Hares

Comments

Nicely captured David. My wife and I watched half a dozen hares in the field at the back of our home, chasing each other and then stopping for a fur flying boxing match then running off again in all directions. Good job.

I love hares David and this is lovely. I like the soft background too, which evokes the season.

Another good one, David. I am always fascinated by the actions of hares when they are "boxing"!!

Very nice indeed, love a good hare (or two!)

Lovely painting David.

The hares are very well painted and great grass effect.

Good one David. You’ve captured them in a great boxing pose. I really like the way you’ve painted the grass.

I've seen hares doing this just once for real. The thing that struck me was that the hares seemed to be making themselves as tall as possible...you've caught that beautifully.

Thank you Bryan, Sarah, David, Heather, Denise, Jacqueline, Spencer and Lewis for your kind comments. I have seen hares boxing a few times and, like Lewis, I was struck by how big they try to make themselves.

A terrific painting David.

Thank you Chris for your very kind comment.

What an interesting sight to behold David.

Yes it really is interesting Carole. That is where the phrase 'mad as a March hare' comes from.

A lovely painting, David and the soft grass background is just right!

Lovely Couple of hares David 🎨

Thank you Anne and Faye for your kind comments.
