This is a sister picture to Purple field Marazion. Looking inland from the hill above the church thisdistant field of daffodils echoing the light from the sky caught my eye. I used the same colour palette of cadmium yellow, ultramarine but with more magenta in the mix; cadmium red was used for the underpainting of the cliffs and the sea to give warmth and body under the cooler magenta purple mix. Acrylic on canvas stretched over hardboard, the painting measures 18 x 23 cms
