Purple field Marazion
There is plenty to paint in and around Marazion, the most obvious being St. Michael's Mount. However if one looks inwards from the sea there is just as much of interest. I took the path behind the church and worked from the top of the hill looking back towards Marazion. The light was just starting to drift into evening; this painting is just a little later and a little further along the cliff than Yellow field Marazion. Acrylic on canvas stetched over hardboard, cadmium yellow, ultramarine, cadmium red and a touch of magenta to deepen the red at the base of the hill. 18 x 22 cms
