A composition based upon a photograph I had taken last winter of a snow scene – you can see my shadow on the bottom LH corner. I was intrigued at the time by the shadows; I used a certain amount of ultramarine, deep violet and cadmium orange to replicate this scene . Acrylic on canvas panel, 12" x 9".

I worked in the construction industry for many years, and then architecture. I have recently taken up painting, creating compositions from urban scenes; with particular attraction to dilapidated old buildings; they have interesting decaying textures.
