A pair of sheet metal gates and their surrounding building elements that I felt had interesting textures, textures that I have tried to reproduce in a painting. Acrylic on canvas panel, 12" x 9".

I worked in the construction industry for many years, and then architecture. I have recently taken up painting, creating compositions from urban scenes; with particular attraction to dilapidated old buildings; they have interesting decaying textures.
