Thank you Pog, Romila, Karen, Marjorie, Stephen, Faye and Christine for your comments which are very much appreciated. Pog, It's realistic but not photolike. When a large painting is shown on here scaled down it tends to look more realistic than it does at full size in real life. The reverse is also true, small paintings enlarged appear looser on here than in life.

Thank you Spencer. Thank you Skylar glad you like the contrast. I have a shadow box that I use for still lifes. It is just a big cardboard box painted inside with black gesso and a daylight lamp with a bendy head. In reality the box looks a very flat dark grey but I exaggerated the values because I think it looks better.
