Now this is a real watercolour! Great.

A fantastic painting. I agree totally with the above comment. Great.

This is how I dream that one day I may be able to use watercolour. I know It took JMW Turner and Hercules Brabazon Brabazon each a lifetime to work at this standard. But I'm in a hurry. I will remember to re-visit your gallery from time to time, for inspiration. Julian Lovegrove

Thank you for your lovely comments. Your paintings are lovely, so it's very humbling.

Just wonderful. I would die happy if I could produce an inspired piece of work like this painting. Every colour is perfect and perfectly placed. You must be delighted with this painting.

Gosh, so many thanks for all your compliments, Thea. best wishes, colleen

Your winkle-picker pic just appeared in the gallery column and I agree with all previous comments. Your own gallery is varied and delightful. Best of luck and keep it up.

Love your paintings - what an inspiration

Beautiful luminosity captured here. Inspiring work!

Thank you, James, Norah and Lesley. The response to this painting is incredible to me! I enjoyed looking at your paintings which to me capture essential features of the natural world. Thanks!

Colleen, I must thank you for your comment on Wells Next the Sea. Thank you, for your kind comments on my work and asking after me. Dad died at Easter. Mum is with me at present (she is 87 and lost without him) I haven't commented on POL or painted since. I shall hopefully when we get though this. We are taking Mum to Cornwall Friday for a week, perhaps I can get some inspiration there? I would just like to say your work is inspirational and I particularly like this one. Painted with freedom. This is just my type of thing! Only trouble is that I just cannot make my paintings work like this. I really like this Colleen. It is a brilliant painting. I have also flicked through some of your other pics and like the relaxed and easy (appearing so!) style and the way you tackled the apple bough and the Irish musicians. Your work gives such a feeling of freshness and lack of clutter! Wonderful!

Thank you, Selina, what a lovely compliment! Don't know about relaxed; it's great fun, but relaxed? Not really! :)

Colleen, I have come back to your gallery to thank you for your very kind comment on my 'Dad' You always have a way with words. I am amazed at the amount of artwork I have missed of yours. All so recognizably yours. I particularly like this one. So free.

Thank you so much for looking Jeannette and your kind comments. I'm not sure of my way with words. Your loss is so poignant, it would be nice to give you comfort. Take care.
