This painting was a commission of a Shiba-Inu called Uno. I used a combination of Faber-Castell Pitt pastel pencils and pastel sticks on sand coloured pastel card by Sennelier. I found the pastel card was able to take more layers of pastel than my usual pastel paper; the down side is that the card tends eat the pastel quicker owing to its rougher surfice.
