Beautiful and colourful boats to paint and which are found in Gozo and Malta where I come from:) You have painted them beautifully.

Evocative image for me Christopher, I spent some of my childhood there and returned subsequently; great composition and colours.

One evening this summer we were at a small harbourside inn called ' Gleneagles ' I saw the reflections in the clear water and thought, this is too good to miss, this is almost exactly what I found, in the foreground are two ' Luzzu ' ytraditional fishing boats, each family has it's own colours, next is a slightly more modern boat with the creel pots on deck for the morrow, then a smaller glass fibre boat. This last a much more modern boat, lacking the beautiful colours of the Luzzus. Painted on Langton NOT Fine grain paper 14" x 10" imperial sized pad paper. Behind , the other side of the walkway there is the stern of a much larger deeper water boat.
