This was the last painting i did in 2020, a humble fieldfare. I had to do a lot of colour mixing with my Sennelier watercolours to get a decent representation of the bird. When studying fieldfares (i find detailed visual study as much fun as painting the subject) i discovered they were far more detailed and colourful than i had realized. It took eight days to paint and but i enjoyed every minute painting this one.
