Peel Castle, Isle of Man
(56x38cm, watercolour on Saunders Waterford 420g). I just returned from a one-week painting trip to the Isle of Man located in the Irish Sea. My nice and friendly B&B „The Fernleigh“ was right in front of Peel Castle on St Patrick’s Isle. I sketched the remains of the impressive fortress with the cathedral as my focal point and created my watercolour painting right afterwards. This beautiful island was a place of worship and later became a fort of Magnus Barefood, 11th Century Viking King of Mann.
