A smashing idea and capture Christof especially the low green pagoda style building on the left against the high rise moderns.

This street scene of Osaka, Japan I painted in my studio with reference material I created on location. I did several thumbnail sketches and black & white (notan) studies before I decided how to compose my watercolour painting. I concentrated on the pattern of the sun lit facades and those in the shade. All my colours I used are a mix with alizarin crimson to give the painting a unity.
