Wilder Freiger Ferner
Wilder Freiger Ferner, Stubaital, Tirol, Austria. Watercolour 45x110cm on Arches 300g rough, stretched. This panorama painting I created from several photos I took during our last week's hike to the Sulzenauhütte. The Ferner (glacier) is getting smaller year by year due to increasing temperature (climate change). It was a hot day last week and my friends and I took a bath in a mountain lake at about 2300m altitude. The water had 6 to 8 degrees Celsius only! We are tough here in Tirol, right
