I do like this Christof, the foreboding mountains and the softer forest colours are very true. Brings back memories of my X/Country skiing days in your beautiful country.

This is so lovely Christof, beautifully painted.

Wonderful painting Christof, beautiful palette.

You're fortunate to have magnificent scenery like this to paint, but however fortunate you may be in that respect there's no element of luck in your painting, which is derived from hard work and studying, I see, with some of the finest masters of contemporary watercolour. Add your own vision to that, and this is what you get - a superb watercolour of a wonderful place.

"Kaisertal", Tirol, Austria. Watercolour 76x56cm on Arches 300g, rough. For this full size watercolour I used the summit of the "Wilder Kaiser" mountain range as my focal point. The warm spring sun casted long shadows over the snowy crags. The trees in the foreground I worked in wet in wet to keep them soft and undefined.
