It's great to get feedback from artists. I find that unless I hand them in to a shop and someone buys them there is little in the way of feedback, makes me wonder if I,m barking up the wrong tree sometimes I'm very serious about becoming proffesional, (not because I think I have any particuler tallent, I don't see art that way, I just would love to be able to spend 40 hours a week exploring in this way) and need to know when its the right time to consider exibitions etc

Great subject, I love cows. If I could paint in watercolour as well as you, Christine, I'd definitely want to spend more time at it! By the way, thanks for explaining your technique on your hares painting, that was very helpful, I think I should experiment a bit with masking fluid.

The reflections are excellently done - it's interesting that you see the cows in terms of food! I have great difficulties with that - when I see a cow, I instinctively sympathize with it and wish to protect it: they're so gentle ... innocent ... and nowhere near as stupid and bestial as it would be very convenient to believe they are. But at the same time, I do love beef.... Oh dear..... Leaving all of that aside, this is a very convincing watercolour.

Hi Robert, I must explain, it was toungue in cheek, Im a vegetarian but I realy miss the tast of beef fat. I think cows are just lovely and worry that painting them somehow condones the dairy industry which I despise. Sheep also are vert clever dont you think?
