It’s a lovely piece of work Chrissie, great colours and perfect composition - I expect no more from you! I do like that moulding, I have all the professional kit and make my own… I’d be interested in getting some of that, or perhaps it was made at your framers!

Alan - the moulding is in fact all in one piece so can be bought. Clever of you to make your own frames, I get them from my framer as bare wood so all I do is paint them, fit the painting and finish the back! Wouldn’t dare to try and make the frame!!

Thanks for that! So are you buying the frames ready made from your framers? I’m interested in where to buy that moulding, but I presume you don’t know that. Farrow & Ball do some fabulous colours suitable for frames, their catalogue is worth getting.

Lovely colour work and a great still life

Alan - I’ll ask her which supplier she gets the moulding from. All I know is that it is quite substantial, not like obeche wood for example which is quite light in weight. Yes I agree, F&B do have nice colours, and quite a choice of whites.

Thanks Chrissie, I appreciate that. I use several manufacturers but I do rather like that particular moulding. F&B do useful size test pots as you may know, I find these really useful.

Alan- my framer said that a similar moulding is available from Arqadia [not mis-spelt!]. It is in natural obeche wood and number 126400000. It’s possible that they sell to the general public but you would have to look online. Otherwise she mentioned Centrado 0606OB[who do sell to gp apparently] and Larson Juhl. So lots to keep you busy!
