A lovely painting. So much foliage beautifully executed.

Spin me a web to capture summer gold, threading its warmth through my days, and garnishing the air with emerald song. Your paintings taste of honey- delicious, and so rich with the sweetness of life. I had a browse of your site. Such remarkable paintings! You are an incredible artist Chito :-) It is nice to know that you as a fellow Canadian. I have a few other fellow artists in Toronto. Last year I went to Nuit Blanche. Much more adventuresome than our conservative Nova Scotian art (in general). Next time I am up your way, I will look for your gallery work.

We don't, I think, get Goldenrods in the UK - but I remember them in a painting by Bela Bodo who, if he's still alive, is an Hungaro-American painter in oil. I like rough paper, but am not always successful when using it - this painting is certainly successful: I particularly admire the strong and varied green in the trees, and the lively treatment of the branches.

Not easy to make a painting predominantly green and fresh like this one. Well done, you have succeeded wonderfully.
