A lot to admire here, I particularly enjoy the posts and wire in the foreground - you say it's a little overworked - well; but; yes....... I do see what you mean, but your particular style leads in that direction, with your love of strong, juicy colour and powerful contours; if it reflects the world as you see it, what are you supposed to do? Watercolour seems always to be a fight between strong colour, and the consequent danger of mud or excess dark, or the true hideousness of pastelly weak colour which is hardly colour at all. I like your approach, which shows what watercolour can do, if it's only allowed to. I hate watercolour which is all water, and no colour.....

As always very critical of your own work!!!! This is lovely and caught my eye immediately, strong colours and free flowing brush strokes. Like the foreground inparticular.

I agree with Robert and Avril. I think your work is beautiful. I discovered it on the right side gallery and I am going to watch the rest of your gallery.

6 am , the sun was not even up yet, somewhere in northern Ontario on my way to the 1000 Islands. A little overworked but you always learn something from mistakes.
