Summer Evening, Walberswick (Sketch/Study)
This painting was done on the Suffolk border on a very damp evening where the paper was resistant to drying after laying the first initial wash. It was an immense challenge but lots of fun. I did come back to give this painting a different take but the weather conditions consisted of some of the heaviest rain I have seen and also extreme winds. Therefore, I unfortunately had to stop and run back to the car with a half-drying painting under a large umbrella for me and my Dad. (This is an unframed picture)
