Another beauty Charles :)

This is a lovely painting Charles. Your fondness of Derbyshire shines through. Also very interesting to see your photo. It's a beautiful place, no wonder that you paint it. I know that I couldn't do it justice but hopefully someone else will use it.

Lovely fresh greens and beautifully painted bark on the tree. Nice one.

Wonderful tree Charles.

The trunk is so beautifully painted, Charles. I'm always in awe of how you manage to make the greens look so similar is hue, yet so distinct. It's another lovely piece.

You succeeded in painting the greens, Charles, and I am full of admiration for that. It is a real challenge to try and do the same in watercolour or pen and wash, but I try!!!

Thanks for your comment on my latest Charles. I'm a Mancunian born and bred!

Painted on Bockingford 250lb rough.--- A little scene of the only steep bank in Wildboarclough Derbyshire. For the last 20 years I have been expecting the two trees to be blown over, or has their is only two- three inches of soil on this rocky bank to just to roll over {about a 12ft vertical drop down to river bed ] But no they just carry on growing and growing. -----So before they are gone down into that riverbed I took photos and painted them { Memories }. hard to paint, lots of green to sort out, I think I got it right, ??????? --- {not much scope for depth in this one }
