Really nice Charles, I like the touch of colour though.

Very good Charles, it has a look of the old tinted photographs. The waterlooks very realistic.

Another lovely charcoal painting Charles

As a novice when it comes to charcoal this is something to aspire to- a great painting (or should i call it a drawing?)

Charles, I admire your ability to move from one medium to another without it affecting the end result. Lovely painting Charles.

Charles has his own category here - I'd be strongly tempted to call it a painting, as in many respects it's like a pastel. One thing is certain - whether it's a drawing or a painting, Charles is the master of this particular form (and one or two others, now I come to think of it..)

And oh my, what a painting! It's spectacular, Charles! You've conveyed the magnificence of scale and the water is fantastic - so much movement! FAB!

I do admire your being able to use charcoal. I have to be hosed down if I so much as pick up a stick of the stuff! Great painting - the water is particularly good. Also really good light and shade which is hard to achieve with charcoal I think. Well done.

Charles do you come from Derbyshire? You have captured it's beauty. I live very close to Ashbourne and the Derbyshire Peaks, and the area never ceases to amaze me with it's variety.
