I like this Charles, the touch of yellow is lovely.

I've never used charcoal for a full picture, just for quick outlines. It's surprising how atmospheric they are and I think this is the best one of the six in the portfoliio- just the hint of yellow makes the difference. Perhaps an amber traffic light or a red post box in another charcoal painting would also work well in the series! Also, Charles, thanks for your comments on tulips/sea fret.

Lovely work Charles! I also think that this is the best one. It's very atmospheric and the fact that you're enjoying using the charcoal shows. Could this be charcoal addiction? :)

This work really 'sings' and I can almost hear the birdsong. Love your technique and this the best yet.

This is really good Charles, I love the touch of colour, it looks so real

Love this, Charles. There's something about this scene that suggests a pleasant evening walk and the hint of lemon yellow is brilliant. You're definitely becoming an accomplished charcoal junkie, lol!

These would be great to frame and make a 'series' of charcoals.

I agree with the above comments: what a marvellous series this would make!

I think you are really getting the hang of this charcoal painting, another beaut !!

I love this. So much mood and movement without colour. I have never really tried charcoal, but might do now. Lovely interesting portfolio.
