Nearly missed this Mark. Love the title and how the painting portrays those exact emotions. Very cleverly painted, especially using oil pastels, which is a very tricky medium to use. Just started getting to grips with this elusive medium and enjoying the challenge but they are temperamental to use.

Thanks Carol. Oil pastels can be awkward but like oil paints you can blend, over-paint, scrape back and thin (I use very small mounts of linseed oil) so in many ways they are easier than watercolour. Persevere, as they can be very rewarding.
