In the Artsocial zoom class last night we were looking at a seated figure. The demo was in charcoal, then pencil sketch, and finally the beginning of an oil painting by the tutor. I had this A3 paper with collage on it and the colour already put on, from another session last year that I didn't use, so I decided to have a go and use it...it was interesting! Lots of lumps and bumps in the paper and I used my least favourite medium, charcoal, but it was a good exercise in going out of one's comfort zone!
