Definitely a life lived, keep them coming Cathy

It's all about artistic, and creative personal practice - an endless occupation and it's so much better than working - !

You’ve certainly caught their age and appearance so well.

I can feel and see your enthusiasm and enjoyment for the process Cathy.

I think this is very interesting and very well done. I like portraits like this because they tell a story and a feeling behind the surface. From my eyes I see a life with many joys and sorrows and perhaps more joys. She reminds me of my nan so I feel strongly when I see it. The woman in the portrait looks the kind to complain little about her sorrows and I can sense a great sense of humour in her face.

Thanks everyone for comments. And Michael - thanks for your insight and thoughtful words.

What a fabulous face to draw. Another practice doing continuous line drawing. It certainly makes you concentrate! It's really absorbing. Highly recommended. I used graphite on drawing paper for this one.
