In the Artsocial online zoom class last night it was all about "create - then wipe it out". We worked in charcoal and soft pastel,. Having drawn the composition we then got the kitchen towel and wiped over it! From there I went on to define the shapes again, concentrating on the spaces in between and keeping the palette subdued. The influence was Mondrian in his earlier years, cubism etc. We were advised NOT to be precious with lines - be free - feel the painting. I really enjoyed the whole process.
