Thanks guys! I too am fascinated by mixing the mediums up! I realised that the effect I wanted wasn't achievable with just pastels, so I used my stippler (foliage) brush for the brickwork with acrylics (grey & then white) and then embellished with more pastel and drew the lines in for the bricks. Didn't know it would turn out quite like it did!

I was inspired by a photo I saw in a magazine the other day, and decided to create this.... mixed media again...soft chalk pastels, acrylic paint, and pastel pencils. I was rather taken by the contrast of the brick work and the smooth looking view through the window. You never quite know how something is going to turn out and when you think "There, it's done"...you find something else to add. :)
