What strikes me here is the slightly sharper focus on a mere 3 or 4 blades of grass which acts as a means to create depth and distance. Thats a very subtle and magical touch which makes this picture so great.

I agree with Micheal, this painting has a good sense of perspective both through the minimal use of detail and subtle use of colour.

I like the varied bands of colour here. A very simple image construction which works really well.
