The suit really looks expensive - really well painted. The facial expression is very well done, Catherine

A wonderful portrait Catherine.

Stunning portrait Catherine, fantastic light and great colours.

An interesting portrait Catherine, well done.

Makes a change from the stiff, formal portraits of yesteryear - Alderman Rumbletummy, the worshipful the Mayor, 1893............. Always painted against gravy-brown wood panelling, and with a moustache ideal for sieving soup. Skilfully done.

Yeah that's awesome! You certainly "captured" the lost edges. I love the varied color in the red suit as well. I'm sure it's just me, but I find the woman's hair in back somewhat confusing. Super great! Wish I could paint like you.

Moira is that village hall on the Dorset/Wiltshire border?

Beautifully painted, the cloth is superb. Love the colour and pose.

Gorgeous characterful portrait , great work on her facial expression and her outfit and her immediate surroundings

Hang on Studio Wall

A formal portrait in oils on canvas. I tried to catch the lost edges caused by the hazy northern light pouring into the Council's huge sash windows. In the full painting the window dwarfs my subject who is know for her smartly tailored suits.
