Bluebell Wood

Bluebell Wood

I can still see in parts some of the more purplish blue flowers Carol, to be honest I quite like the bluer ones as well. In the end we know what we are seeing...a bluebell wood in late spring/early summer and it's lovely. One observation Carol if I may, if you could lighten the tones a little as they recede in to the wood, it would give it a greater feeling of depth......hope you don't mind. X I would leave that blue though, it's very striking.

Thank you Fiona for your comment. Actually I'm kicking myself about the necessary lighter tones in the distance because when the flowers were purplish I had done that. I had started this a few weeks back and to be honest by the time I had decided to change the flower colour I'd got a bit bored with it!! Many thanks for looking -you always lift my spirits.

I'm not sure about this one. I decided to change the flowers from a purplish blue to this colour and I'm not sure how realistic it looks. Water-based oils on canvas board 10"x 7". C & C very welcome.
