Thanks again Jeannette. It's only a small 12x16 inch - just to give it a go - I hadn't tried this distant buildings stuff before. Trying a larger one now 24x18 inch of another canal shot - who knows - we shall see

Great painting, really like the foreground building. Was in Venice last summer and took plenty of photos which are just great to paint.

Thank you Diana. Whilst I was painting this in my front room with the blinds open for some light a chap came to the door and asked if I sold any of my work - I was so chuffed I didn't know what to say!
