Superb portrait especialy done in one day wow. Best regards Paul. P.S how big?

Well. If I hadn't looked on the gallery I wouldn't have seen him. Great face and the fur is extremely well done Carole.

Absoloot-le'fabulous. May I suggest you knock back the background leaves into a 'misty' efffect. This would throw the chimp into higher relief. Just a suggestion! But the rendering of the fur, and the animal's expression is superb. Lovely work. John

Hi Paul thank you very much - I just had to finish him today for some reason he's 15x11 inches with a small border around

Thank you Jeannette, he is a cutie isn't he. Getting quite attached to him sitting on the easel. Glad you like it

Cheers for liking him John - took some work getting his facial expression - I agree with your comments on the background but I'm afraid to touch it again!

A real star ! You have captured this little Champ. very very well. Like John I would suggest to calm down the green behind him.

My goodness you are busy; this fella is (in my humble opinion) far more attractive than the last! This is really well painted, well done. I agree with what you say about acrylics on bockingford paper, I find the colours are fresher and you can make use of washes.

so cute........lovely..............

A lovely cheeky chappie.

Thank you Beatrice, maybe I will pluck up the courage tomorrow to dabble in the background

Thanks Robert - yes I think I will be purchasing more of the stuff - have to pick and choose your subject tho I think.

Cheers Ruth, I'm staring at him right now, he's becoming quite a companion!

Thanks Val - he seems quite popular!

Sorry this late, love the face, best wishes colleen

For some reason I fancied painting wild animals today??? Maybe it was the frost this morning - as little little fella is nice and warm. I'm afriad I took the picture from a book, "Going, Going, Gone" Animals and Plants on the brink of extinction Malcolm Tait - I hope they don't mind! Acrylic on 200 lb Bockingford watercolour paper - the texture really helped the fur and tree bark come out well I think
