Found it. Well,I have had a good look round your Gallery Carole. Lots of lovely work I have missed. I particularly like the Taj Mahal. Back to your painting which I might add, is calm and beautiful. Smashing reflections which are worked with a lovely freedom of brush strokes. Greens are always difficult - you have tackled this so well. The sunlit tree on the left draws my eye to the bend. Great perspective. Good luck with the exhibition. Sold seven recently after having a lean time early in the year. Jeannette 2. Diana Hudson 19 Aug 2009 13:26 Thanks for your comments on my little flower painting. I can see what you mean but don't know how to change it. The rose was so intricate I didn't want to get into individual petals but rather an impression of it. I've never tried anything like that before either so detailed or so small. Love this one of yours ; very striking. I wish you luck with it. 4. Mike Finney 19 Aug 2009 23:47 Hi Carole - i recognised the view straight away. Good to see someone painting the Midlands. I love the composition and how it draws your eye into the painting. Makes me want to know what is around the bend in the Trent.

Sorry folks, deleted the old image but wanted to keep the comments - so I posted them underneath - hope you don't mind
