Hi Carole, thanks for your comments about Ribblesdale in Flood, I saw this some time ago and think its outstanding. I particularly like the trees, a huge bugbear of mine. Am I right in assuming you're using acrylic?

Yes Ian it's acrylic I prefer it to watercolour. I painted this from a holiday snap, but fortunately there are some trees similar to these in my area, so I had some fresh insight into the formation of the leaves, shadow etc. Thank you so much for your positive comments. P.S. I too have found some differences with makes of acrylic, unfortunately you don't know till it's dry!
