Already spotted the windows on the pale white/blue house 3 down from the top middle - too big - I will do those again

What a lot of work in this, must have taken you ages with all those windows, buildings and angles. I admire your patience. Very well painted.

Very interesting painting, colourful too. Where did you start ?

Great colours ( and I do love colour in a painting!) - and really interesting subject. Loads to look at and appreciate. I can see that it has been a labour of love and this shines through.

I love that Carole! A complex subject beautifully done.

Really like your painting, great subject, I want to be one of those people up on that roof terrace!!!! Annie

Wow, when you ask for support on here you truely get it - thank you all for taking the time to have a peak! To Val: - Patience is one word, it felt a bit like something on my "to do" list that I had to get done in the end - shame really Carole - I honestly can't remember where I started, I know I did a couple of sketches first to get the general position of things, after that I think a mist rose - just can't remember! Thea - thank you for liking it as is! To Paul - yes I now know that I can't just do these things and have to really prepare each bit of drawing properly first John - Thank you so much for your feedback, I shall take another squint at my photos and try and adjust these two buildings - thank you again! Annie - Oh I have been one of these people 7 years in a row - It is a great place and that is only a portion of the true activity - Most of them are waiting for the Funiculare to take them down to Marina Grande - which can be sad as that is how you get the ferry home :(

wow.........this is amazing.............love the colours

Hi Carole is this similar to one of your earlier postings? i have lost the plot while in Peru... I like this version very much. I have also just revisited your website too it looks better now in fact very good....Glad to read that you like 'redbubble' too. I'm OK with the windows, roof-lines, building angles...I tend to agree with John...the red buildings are a bit too intense & thus stand out & the lowest, farthest white building's roof-line slopes a bit...OK what is the story, Please?

Very lovely painting. Can't see anything to criticise at all. It would be a bit presumptuous as have never touched best regards colleen

Ok Phil - the story: The two on the far right are late for the funiculare and so are running There is a crowd inside the entrance waiting for the train and 2 fellas hanging around outside waiting for the missus The lady on the far left is about to look thro the telescope and that's elvis walking away from her - no it's a waiter really and I need to increase the size of his face a bit cos he's all hair! In the middle at the front are two young lovers and behind them in the shadows are four people who have never been to Capri before so they are just sitting there looking a bit awkward I'm posting the ammended one today will post the link so you can let me know your thoughts Thank you Colleen

Lovely scene, beautiful colours and enchanting buildings. This must have taken quite a time to complete!

Thanks Lesley, it did take a while - had to leave it alone several times - but quite pleased with the result. Shall be standing here soon, off to Capri Island again in two months - so exciting!

Finally, it is done - photo quality not the best as it is not as dark as this on the left and not as light as this on the right - if that makes sense. Please tell me if you can see anything glaringly wrong here, not that I think I have the energy to do anything about it - what a long labour of "love"! 24x18 inch acrylic on deep edge canvas P.s. I have a little story about the people in it too - ha!
