Hi Carole, Not checked out your postings in a while but i can see you have been busy busy busy.... I really like this one, it has a great sense of place and reminds me of some of the stucco'd facades on the buildings in Prague.... i see stuff like this and always think they would make great paintings but then get too daunted at the prospect of knowing where to begin....I keep telling myself i will get around to practicing buildings and urban scenes but never actually seem to. I only have one small observation and that is i think that the sky might benefit from a little gradiation in tone to a slightly paler tone as it reaches the horizon but only if the scene is a midday depiction, as it currently stands it seems to me to have a twilight approaching feel to it, as there are no deep shadows and the sky does often become the shade you have used .... the off white of the building is very cleverly mixed, slightly bluer grey to the bottom left and more to the yellow top right but the change is imperceptible ..... i think this gives real form and solidity to the structure.....anyway blah blah off i go again rambling on...the summary is ...Nice One !!

Thank you Steve - blimey your fingers must be sore after typing this lot! You may be right about the sky - I put it in fairly quickly so I could concentrate on the building as I'd never done one like this before. Glad you like it though
