Your work is fascinating and tells a story. It must have taken you ages to paint all those bricks!

Lovely painting of the back street and all the brick-work and figures, yes typical scene in cities, I love your little children and the men wearing caps common in those days too, brings back certain memories although we lived abroad most of my childhood days then only knew England in the 60's but did witness similar scenes from aunties photos. Great work Carole!

This was a common scene in the 50's . men gambling in the back streets. I can remember them being chased by the police as it was illegal.
