Lovely painting, Carole.Like the view towards Coquet Island.

Nice use of colour Carole.

Definitely captured a “cold” feeling here Carole.

Love the texture you have created here Carole

Interesting painting, Carole, as it's less obvious what's in the foreground, so you're drawn into the scene. Beautiful colours as always xxx

Like the feeling of joie de vivre in this.

It does look cold and it certainly has been! Your colours do suggest this Carole, you’ve caught the feel of the day.

Thank you so much David, Stephen, Spencer, Spencer, Christine, Clive, Andrew, Heather and Marjorie for commenting so positively . It was a bit tricky trying to capture the ice on the water and not sure about the oil pastels as they are a bit temperamental to use. Just need loads more practice.

A good choice of colours plus textures, Carole -giving that chilly feeling!

Beautiful colours and the sense of space in the painting Carole

You are definitely using oil pastels effectively with great use of colour. Great work Carole.

Thank you Anne, Romila and Shaun for your lovely, supportive, comments.

I love the colours you have used in this charming seascape

Love the colours you’ve chosen Carole, very wintery.

Lovely use of oil pastel. I haven’t tried combining soft & oil pastel, you have made it work well.

Many thanks Fiona, Cecelia, Michael and Jacqueline for your kind words. Have just noticed that I forgot to put in the dog’s tail, hence the rather odd looking lump on his left side. My eyes are deteriorating more than I thought.

Super colours, nice

Inspired from a recent photo my daughter took, when out on her morning walk with her dog. Another experiment using predominantly oil pastels with soft pastels. They work quite well together. On pastelmat 35 cm x 25 cm.
