Ballerinas are fascinating in their grace, strength and endurance.A memory of a visit to La Scala in Milan, many years ago, prompted me to paint this when I saw an image on Pinterest,which I have based this on, with quite a few changes. Soft pastels and pastel pencils. 8” x 8” on Artfix pastel paper. Had problems with this paper as I found the pencils didn’t seem to stick very well. Consequently the hands are not very good.
