Beyond the Clouds (Westport, Ireland) by Carole Baker

Another scene I know very well Carole. My parents have a holiday home a few miles from Westport, and so I am lucky to have a lovely base when I visit "The West". You have captured a real sense of place in your series. The themes, weather, colour and sense of space all which resonate with me. So many of the images of Ireland are variations on green and when you know the place,there is a wealth of colour and variety in the changing weather and landscape. Wonderful work Carole.

There's a real painting lesson here, in how to populate the "empty" part of a painting, the large expanse of foreground which pushes the farther detail back. Very effective.
