Ye Rector of Freshwater (sad to relate) Was dogg'd and collared at ye Red Lionne Inne: A matter of conflicte between Church and State, He was snuggled in smuggled wool, next ye skin... And it goes on - wool smuggling was a big thing back in the 14th century, and your title brought the old poem back to me (I was born in Freshwater, Isle of Wight). You've caught the different textures of the adult's and kids' wool very well in a medium I find extremely difficult; a very warming picture.

This is lovely ! The contented lambs .... beautifully painted. Superb work.

Good composition, a warm cosy picture that lifts the spirit.

I can see others are now appreciating your pictures too. Well done. Glad you are now having success with your uploads.

Beautiful painting and your gallery has real quality .

Cosy and comfortable in the lambing shed; they knew me so well that they were not at all disturbed by my intrusion.
